Arc Light, Jr. is a special theater production for children age 16 and younger. This will allow those children interested in theater to participate in an experience geared toward younger performers.

At the Skokie Detective Charter School, all the students are detectives-in-training, learning firsthand how to follow the facts and find a logical solution. But these future super sleuths are about to encounter their biggest case yet when students start acting strangely, monsters are spotted in the hallway, and their teacher goes missing! These Tiny Private Eyes reconstruct the day's events through four classic story-telling perspectives (film noir, young adult mystery, Edwardian romance, and Spaghetti Western) to solve the mystery in this clever and fast-paced comedy.

2010

"Edgar and Ellen: Bad Seeds!" was presented on July 22 at 6:00pm in the Illini Bluffs High School Theater and is the story of the delightfully devious Edgar and Ellen as they plague the idyllic town of Nob's Limbs with their pranks. Their reign of terror is threatened, however, with the arrival of renowned "etiquettist" Petunia Rymple, who wants to build a flower garden on their mansion grounds. With the town ready to sign away the deed to the twins' creaky old mansion, Edgar and Ellen must declare a prank war against the cheerful lady in pink and the stuck-up Knightleigh family next door to show everyone who really rules Nob's Limbs. Directed by Laurie Pillman. Cast were surprised by a special visit from playwright Philip Dawkins. Photos in the gallery. 2009

"Mother Goosed” by Jason Pizzarello, was presented on July 23 at 6:00pm in the Illini Bluffs High School Theater. Something is wrong in Fairytale Land: all the nursery rhyme characters are revolting against their own stories. Humpty Dumpty refuses to fall off the wall, Little Miss Muffet strikes back at the spider, and Peter Piper fi nally loses his peppers. Fortunately, the local news crew is live on the scene, but Frank the anchor has jumped ship and Mother Goose is keeping suspiciously silent... Directed by Daniel Crumrine. Photos in the gallery.
